Would-be alleged thief ends crime wave in backyard pool on Gold Coast
A 22-year-old man ended a crime spree by crashing a stolen Lexus into a pool on the Gold Coast early Wednesday. He is accused of multiple car thefts and ramming a taxi before his arrest. The taxi driver and passenger were assessed but uninjured after the incidents, which began around 1am when a homeowner alerted police.
