The WA Museum exhibition taking a deep dive into the unknown

Western Australian Museum scientists have documented over 500 new marine species during deep-sea expeditions over the past 20 years. The new exhibition, OceanXperience, opening April 4, recreates life on the OceanXplorer ship, emphasizing the importance of taxonomy in understanding and protecting biodiversity. Approximately 75 percent of invertebrate species remain unnamed, highlighting ongoing research challenges.
