The underwater forests coming back to life off the Sydney coast

Sydney’s underwater forests are recovering, aided by scientists and cleaner coastal waters. The Operation Crayweed initiative from the University of NSW and the Sydney Institute of Marine Science has restored crayweed along 20 licensed sites. Ecologist Dr Claudia Santori emphasized the ecological importance of these habitats for marine life, highlighting significant improvements since the 1980s.
