Sunk twice and refloated in flood, restoration begins on paddleboat

Restoration has begun on the 102-year-old Pride of the Murray paddleboat at Longreach, which sank in March 2023. Despite being submerged for six months, much of the timber remains in good condition, with hopes for tourist access by the end of May. The restoration is expected to cost over $1.5 million.
