Sha’Carri Richardson triumphs in Stawell Gift women’s final

Sha’Carri Richardson won the Stawell Gift women’s final on Monday, overcoming a head start of up to nine meters to finish in 13.15 seconds. The American becomes only the third woman to win the $40,000 prize from scratch. Her partner Christian Coleman was eliminated in the semi-finals despite his efforts to close.
