Artemis II crew enters moon’s ‘sphere of influence’ ahead of historic flyby

The Artemis II crew entered the moon's 'sphere of influence' on Sunday, transitioning about 39,000 miles from the lunar surface. Nasa's four astronauts are set to achieve the first lunar flyby in over 50 years, with the mission promising unprecedented views of the moon's far side. They are currently 215,000 miles from Earth and 65,000 miles.
