Jack Robinson eliminated from WSL event at Bells Beach after penalty

Defending champion Jack Robinson was eliminated from the WSL championship tour event at Bells Beach after being penalized for interference during his heat against Samuel Pupo. Robinson scored 5.67, compared to Pupo's 13.77 following the decision, marking him as the second major Australian casualty of the event. Seven Brazilian surfers advance to the men’s round of 16.
