Sydney council warned of illegal prayer hall years before Bondi attack

Canterbury-Bankstown Council shut down the Al Madina Dawah Centre in January after it operated illegally for over two years. The centre, linked to Bondi shooter Naveed Akram, received numerous complaints, yet council investigations prior to the attack led to no action. Akram and his father killed 15 people in a December shooting at a Hanukkah event.
