Reece Walsh to miss up to six weeks with fractured cheekbone

Broncos star Reece Walsh is expected to miss up to six weeks due to a fractured cheekbone sustained in a match against the Gold Coast. Wayne Bennett endorsed Jye Gray as a strong replacement for Walsh should he miss Origin I. Game one of the 2026 interstate series is scheduled for May 27 in Sydney.
