Co-founder of Jalisco New Generation drug cartel pleads guilty

Érick Valencia Salazar, co-founder of the Jalisco New Generation Cartel, pleaded guilty to drug trafficking charges, according to the US Department of Justice. Known as 'El 85', he changed his plea and faces a minimum 10-year prison sentence for conspiracy to distribute over 5 kilograms of cocaine. His sentencing is set for July 31.
