Cuba to release more than 2,000 prisoners, as pressure from US mounts

Cuba announced on Thursday it will release 2,010 prisoners as a humanitarian gesture, amidst rising pressure from the US. The freed will include foreign nationals and women, coinciding with Holy Week celebrations. This marks the second prisoner release this year, following the liberation of 51 inmates in March after negotiations with the Vatican.
