World-famous Bibbulmun Track considered for heritage list

Local governments are supporting a move to add the Bibbulmun Track to the heritage list in Western Australia, aiming to protect it from mining expansions. The iconic 1,000-kilometre trail, attracting over 80,000 hikers annually, traverses 18 local government areas. The WA Department of Planning, Lands and Heritage is set to assess the nomination.
