Amazon beats Q1 revenue forecast, AWS grows 28 percent year-over-year
Amazon reported first-quarter revenue of $181.5 billion Wednesday, beating Wall Street's forecast of $177.2 billion and delivering adjusted earnings per share of $2.78 versus expected $1.65. Amazon Web Services grew 28% year-over-year to $37.6 billion. The company projects second-quarter net sales between $194 billion and $199 billion.
