Nyadiew Puoch picked 16th overall by Portland Fire in WNBA draft

Nyadiew Puoch was selected as the No. 16 overall pick by the Portland Fire in the WNBA expansion draft on March 24. The 21-year-old averaged 11.4 points for the UC Capitals and expressed excitement about joining the new team. Australian Opal Chloe Bibby and Kristy Wallace were also picked, expanding the presence of Australians in the league.
