The children waiting years for a 15-minute procedure

One in 10 children in New South Wales wait over a year for a 15-minute ear surgery, with Indigenous and regional children most affected. NSW Health reports that half of these patients wait 120 days, nearly double the time compared to Queensland. Increasing demand for surgical services has exacerbated the situation, leaving many children at risk of hearing.
