Dennis Ballas, 89, was killed in an alleged hit-and-run on Forest Rd, Bexley, around 2.20pm on Thursday. Police allege the truck driver failed to stop and claimed he was unaware of the incident. Ballas, who lived in a nearby nursing home, was trying to cross the road after visiting a local.
