The heartbreaking loss driving a Perth mother’s volunteering mission
Jessica Yugovich created the Aliyah Mae Foundation to support grieving parents after her three-year-old daughter, Aliyah, died unexpectedly following a routine surgery in July 2024. The foundation, Australia’s first trauma support hub for bereaved families, aims to ensure no parent feels alone in their grief. Jessica is a finalist for the WA Volunteer of the Year for her advocacy.
