Sydney-Wollongong commuters finally get start date for new intercity trains

NSW's new Mariyung intercity trains will begin service on the South Coast rail line from Kiama to Sydney next Tuesday, ending a five-year delay. The fleet will initially run during off-peak hours, with Transport Minister John Graham promising significantly improved service frequency later this year. The first train departs Kiama at 7:56 AM and arrives at Central Station at 10:02.
