Water and sewerage bill increases on the way for Tasmanians
Tasmania's water regulator approved average annual bill increases of 5.7 percent for four years, raising household costs by around $350 yearly to $1,487 in 2026-27. The decision rejected TasWater's original 11.5 percent proposal, capping cumulative increases at 25 percent by 2030 instead of 40 percent. TasWater will adjust tariffs and begin charging separately for sewage volume.
