Navy chief Mark Hammond appointed head of Australian Defence Force in July
Navy chief Mark Hammond has been appointed the new head of the Australian Defence Force, effective July. This reshuffle also sees Susan Coyle becoming the first female chief of army, succeeding Simon Stuart upon his retirement. The changes follow the resignation of David Johnston after serving two years.
