Ballarat's unique approach to tackling family violence

Ballarat is implementing a $9.8 million initiative, Respect Ballarat, to tackle family violence through prevention and early intervention strategies. The program, launched following the deaths of three local women, focuses on promoting respect and gender equality in the community. In the past year, police recorded 2,953 family violence incidents in the region.
