After 55 years, this slice of inner-north history is up for sale

Dante Alessio is set to retire and auction his Thornbury hair salon, Dan's Hair Cuts, on April 18 after 55 years of operation. Opened in 1971, the salon has been a local gathering spot where Alessio, 85, formed deep connections with clients. Many, like long-time customer Bev Maskill, expressed sadness over the end of this community fixture.
