Young girl’s body found in Brisbane River

Police recovered the body of a seven-year-old girl who drowned while swimming in the Brisbane River on Saturday afternoon. Emergency services were called to Colleges Crossing Recreation Reserve after she failed to resurface. A report will be prepared for the coroner following the incident.
