Courtney Young, 34, received a life-saving kidney and pancreas transplant in Sydney after a four-year wait. Young, who struggled with diabetes, has since started a new career as a social worker and written to her donor's family. In Australia, approximately 21,000 transplants have occurred since 2009, with 2,000 individuals currently on waiting lists.
