Afandi Cafe in Punchbowl serves what many claim is Sydney's best knafeh, drawing on owner Mohammad Ismail's dedication to the dish's authentic preparation. Originally from Palestine, Ismail refined his uncle’s recipe while working from a street cart before opening the cafe. The freshly made knafeh features an impressive stretch of cheese and is served with spiced.
