Sydney vet warns chocolate is toxic to pets during Easter festivities

Sydney vet Dr. Sanduni Kapur warned that chocolate is toxic to pets, especially dogs, during Easter festivities. Symptoms of chocolate poisoning include vomiting, hyperactivity, and in severe cases, seizures or death. Pet owners should immediately consult a veterinarian or call the animal poisons helpline if their pet consumes chocolate or sultanas, which can cause acute kidney failure.
