Digital drivers licences coming to WA
The Western Australia government will launch digital driver's licenses and a state digital identity by late 2025, with a budget allocation of $28.2 million. Assistant Transport Minister Jess Stojkovski emphasized that obtaining a digital ID is optional and not a replacement for physical licenses. The pilot program for the digital wallet is scheduled for mid-2025.
