Brenden Green was sentenced to nearly 12 years in prison for running down Detective Senior Constable Greg McDougall in Perth in September 2024. Green, 37, had a kilogram of meth in his car and drugs in his system when he struck McDougall, who suffered severe injuries and has returned to police duties after a lengthy recovery.
