Eight arrested after police car stolen from side of highway

Eight individuals, including a 19-year-old man and an 18-year-old woman, were arrested after stealing an unmarked police car on the Bruce Highway near Townsville on Monday. The vehicle, parked at Alligator Creek, was tracked down in Aitkenvale and found abandoned with no items missing. Four other stolen cars were linked to the same group of offenders.
