Sydney beaches closed over shark risk as dead whale washes ashore
Several beaches south of Sydney closed on Anzac Day after a dead whale washed ashore, increasing shark risk. The whale was reported by patrols at Era, a popular beach in Royal National Park. All nearby beaches, including Garie, Wattamolla, and Burning Palms, are now off-limits to swimmers.
