Variety Hires Guy Lodge as Chief Film Critic

Variety appointed Guy Lodge as its new chief film critic, effective immediately. Lodge, who has contributed to Variety since 2011, will work alongside Owen Gleiberman to cover major releases and film festivals from London. He replaces Peter Debruge, who left the position after 20 years to direct the SXSW Film & TV Festival.
