Vasile Bombonel extradited to face court over $100,000 scam

Vasile Bombonel, 38, was extradited from Western Australia to face court on Saturday for allegedly stealing from elderly women at NSW shopping centres. Police reported 39 incidents involving a scam that netted over $100,000 in stolen funds. Bombonel, who displayed a thumbs up during his arrest, was denied bail and will appear in Bail Court later today.
