20,000 sailors stranded in Persian Gulf amid Iran's blockade and conflict

Around 20,000 sailors remain stranded in the Persian Gulf due to Iran's blockade of the Strait of Hormuz amid ongoing conflict. A Filipino sailor reported threats from missile attacks and shortages of food and water for weeks. The International Maritime Organisation has recorded 10 fatalities in attacks on vessels in the area since the war began.
