Oil prices plunged after US President Donald Trump announced a ceasefire and Iran allowed ships to transit the Strait of Hormuz. West Texas crude fell more than 15 percent to about $96 a barrel. The announcement is expected to ease petrol prices for motorists if the ceasefire holds.
