Queensland yet to buy devices for e-bike compliance testing as crackdown looms
Queensland will implement new restrictions for e-bikes and e-scooters on July 1, but testing devices are yet to be procured. Transport Department deputy director-general Andrew Mahon stated that compliance testing machines similar to NSW’s will assist in enforcing the regulations. The department is also exploring potential exemptions for certain off-road facilities under the upcoming.
