Suspect took selfie in hotel room before alleged assassination attempt
Cole Tomas Allen, 31, was charged with attempting to assassinate Donald Trump at a Washington hotel Saturday night after taking a selfie while armed in his room and tracking the president's movements online. Allen fired a shotgun at security checkpoints before being restrained; a Secret Service agent was shot in the chest.
