Bendigo publican launches high-profile challenge against Jacinta Allan

Bendigo publican Andrew Lethlean announced on Saturday his intention to challenge Premier Jacinta Allan in the November state election. Lethlean, who garnered 29.7 percent of the vote in last year's federal poll, criticized the government as 'city-centric' amidst rising voter dissatisfaction. The National Party's preselection for Bendigo East closes on April 9.
