Investigation underway after python tortured to death on Sunshine Coast
A native carpet python was discovered tortured to death on Sunday in Ninderry, Queensland, igniting outrage. Local snake catcher Stuart McKenzie labeled the incident, involving a 2.5-metre python tied and dragged behind a vehicle, as one of the worst cases of animal cruelty he has witnessed. An investigation by the Department of the Environment is currently underway.
