Oil prices surge to highest level since Russia's Ukraine invasion on Iran
Brent crude surged 5% to $124 a barrel Thursday, its highest since Russia's 2022 Ukraine invasion, after reports the US military will brief Trump on potential Iran strikes. US Central Command prepared plans for "short and powerful" strikes on Iranian infrastructure and possibly taking control of the Strait of Hormuz to reopen shipping lanes.
