Wildlife rescuers scramble as hundreds of baby bats lie dying in outback

Wildlife rescuers are scrambling to save hundreds of dying flying fox pups in Katherine and Pine Creek, Northern Territory, after ex-Tropical Cyclone Narelle devastated their population last month. Many pups have been orphaned as their parents fled ahead of the storm. Despite ongoing rescue efforts, interstate specialist care has been denied due to biosecurity risks.
