Islamic State-linked families stuck because of Australia’s refusal: Syrian officials

Thirteen Australian women and children left a Syrian camp housing Islamic State-linked families on Friday but were prevented from returning home after Canberra refused to accept them. Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese said Wednesday the government provides no repatriation support. The families obtained passports through Kurdish-controlled territory and remain stranded awaiting a solution.
