Free degrees, no jobs: the Victorian nursing grads still looking for work
Up to 1500 newly qualified nurses in Victoria are struggling to secure jobs nearly five months after graduation, despite an impending nurse shortage of over 70,000 by 2035. Professor Beth Jacob expressed concern that this situation may force new graduates to abandon their nursing careers.
