Block landscaper’s legal fight with wealthy Smorgon dynasty

Melbourne landscaper Dave Franklin faces a lawsuit from Smorgon heiress Bindy Koadlow and her husband for allegedly failing to repay $2.6 million. The Koadlows claim the Franklins defaulted on a loan issued shortly before Franklin's landscaping business went into liquidation. Franklin's financial troubles also include a director penalty notice for $2.4 million in unpaid taxes.
