A 32-year-old rock fisherman from East Timor was swept into the ocean while fishing at Emerald Beach on Monday evening. Friends of the man, who was on a working holiday visa, expressed hope for his survival as a search continues. Police confirmed he had limited swimming abilities and none of the group were wearing life jackets.
