DPP lawyer accused of sexual relationships with inmates, receiving thousands of dollars
Vanessa O’Bryan, a lawyer at the NSW Director of Public Prosecutions, was charged with multiple offenses including misconduct after allegedly receiving $5,000 from crime proceeds and engaging in sexual relationships with inmates. O’Bryan was suspended without pay following her arrest at her Ballina home on October 30, 2025. Her next court appearance is scheduled for May 7.
