Sydney man jailed after stomping on police officer's head in 'brutal' attack

Koby Weaver, 21, was sentenced to two years in prison for stomping on the head of an off-duty police officer in Newtown last January. The judge called his actions deplorable, while co-accused Danai Deneiderhavsein and Finley Goodwin received fines and were spared further custody. Weaver is eligible for parole in February 2024.
