Perth Bears and Western Force partner to grow league in rugby union
The Perth Bears and Western Force are partnering ahead of the Bears' NRL debut next year, bucking code wars raging on Australia's east coast. Rugby WA chair John Welborn said the alliance can attract Irish, Scottish, and South African rugby union fans to league matches while building rectangular field infrastructure in Australian rules football-dominated Western Australia with state government support.
