Viking advances Nevada tungsten play as prices hit record highs
Viking Mines advanced its Linka tungsten project in Nevada amid record high prices, recently achieving a concentrate grade of 63.6 percent tungsten trioxide. The company plans to begin drilling in June while evaluating historical stockpiles that returned 0.8 percent tungsten trioxide, aiming to fast-track development in the tight global tungsten market. Prices for ammonium paratungstate hit US$318.50 per metric tonne.
