How banks are only ‘partially’ raising rates for savers

Major Australian banks have not raised base rates for savings accounts despite the Reserve Bank's recent increase to 4.1 percent. Approximately 40 percent of savers miss out on bonus interest due to unmet conditions, according to Canstar. Competition is increasing as smaller banks offer higher rates, with Judo Bank launching a 5.35 percent savings account.
