A report reveals that for every $100 invested in data centres in Australia, $70 to $80 quickly leaves the country to foreign manufacturers. While the industry anticipates $26 billion in investment by 2030, the Australian Bureau of Statistics notes that imports are rising, diminishing the overall economic benefit. Local operators retain more investment, capturing $45 to $55 of every $100.
